The Complete Move-to-Mac Solution — Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition

Parallels have announced their ‘Switch to Mac‘ edition of their popular Parallels Desktop virtualization software that allows you to run Windows on a Mac.

Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition includes everything you need to get up and running on your new Mac:

According to their site: “Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition makes the move to Mac as easy as ready, set, switch.”

As a user of their software from the first version I can vouch for their software being easy to use and I use it whenever I need to run Windows on my MacBook Pro. Although the first version had its flaws they have been largely fixed in the latest version (4.0). I can recommend it and in recent reviews it does better than its main rival, VMware Fusion.

The latest version of Parallels now allows you to to run select 3D games and graphics applications right on your Mac. Run productivity applications programs like AutoCad, or Photosynth and play popular games like Age of Empires, HALO and Day of Defeat right on your Mac.

You can now run your Windows programs seamlessly on your Mac without worrying which O you re using, sharing files and folder easily, as well as printers and other hardware. In my experience it works rather well and all I need now is a faster Mac! My MacBook Pro is the first version and is now a bit long in the tooth and in need of replacement. If you have a later Mac then you will find it all runs even more smoothly. Certainly, for occasional use it is perfect and better than running 2 separate computers and the expense involved.
