Speculation is that the iPad will announced at a special event for which press passes have already been issued. Whether this is the case remains to be seen but we don’t have long to wait. As for the specification, talk is once again of two video cameras to facilitate FaceTime, which must be true now that FaceTime is available for Macs and the iPhone. Also, it’s looking like the new version will not be a major leap forward, more of an update al la iPhone 3GS, with enough improvements to keep it ahead of the competition snapping at it’s heels. Whether this means we see another update (iPad 3) later in the year as some have speculated is another thing.
